Becky Glick (Music Director)
Singing has been a lifelong love of Becky’s, beginning with membership in the Junior Choir at her home church, Troy (OH) Church of the Brethren, where she also directed hymns as a teenager. Becky continued singing in various groups throughout junior and senior high school, performing in musical productions, auditioning for and joining the Miami University (OH) Choraliers and in recent years, singing in a number of church and community musical groups, including the Shenandoah Valley Choral Society. She enjoys singing in women’s barbershop quartets, as well as performing locally in the folk duo “Simply Folk”. In addition to overseeing the music program at Sunrise, Becky directs the adult Chancel Choir and Kids Praise choir and leads hymns for worship. Previously, she directed the Children’s Choir at Harrisonburg First Church of the Brethren for 16 years. After retiring from full-time teaching in 2004, Becky is currently employed part-time as the SOL Test Coordinator at Turner Ashby High School in Bridgewater.
